Te Punanga Nui Cultural Market is a must see on a Saturday morning.
Situated right in the heart of Avarua next to the harbour, experience the colourful atmosphere of island style where you will find home grown fresh produce, locally made arts & crafts, clothing, music, jewellery and carvings. Grab a plate of deliciously cooked food and watch one of the Cook Islands dancing groups perform in the central grandstand.
The night market in Muri beach is a good fun night that is well worth a visit. Kicking off from around 5pm, this is a favourite for both the tourists and locals where you can enjoy a good choice of cheap eating while being entertained by the local ukulele band.
Our vehicles will be out and about transferring customers and their bargains to and from the Te Punanga Nui markets from 7am on Saturdays, and from 5pm for the night markets. Just wave us down or you can book a seat to guarantee you don’t miss out.
